Guava pastelitos: what is inside and when to come

Guava paste is the classic filling in a Cuban bakery: thick, sweet and a little tart, folded into flaky pastry dough. You will see rows of them on the trays in our glass case.

What to ask for

• A guava pastelito on its own
• Guava and cheese, if the tray has it that day
• A cortadito or café con leche on the side

When to come

We open at 6 AM Monday to Saturday and 8 AM on Sunday. The case is fullest early. What is on the trays changes during the day, so call or text if you are after something in particular.

Pastries are $1.50 each on the menu board (price can change).
